Not that I'm way into fashion or anything, but I have been in malls and since I work in retail, I've been noticing some of the clothes that people are wearing lately. It wouldn't matter if it were freakin' winter time! The Barbie girls still wouldn't wanna cover up their goodies. So I, Holland, have a few fashion tips for the ones who don't really know what they're doing (kinda like me).
1. Girls girls girls...please, if you weigh over 200 pounds, please please don't wear halter tops or belly shirts. I know we live in a free country, but for real, I sure as hell wouldn't wear one because I'm a bigger girl. You know why I wouldn't wear one? Besides the fact that it doesn't look good, it's just wrong. There are plenty of nice clothes out there for fat women. PLENTY. For the sake of humans everywhere, cover up.
2. Do not wear eyeshadow up to your eyebrows. It makes you look like a paint roller went across your face and missed the bridge of your nose. You're not Adam Ant so don't do the whole paint roller thing. (If you have any sense you'll know what I'm talking about.)
3. Pick the right color foundation. If you're really pale, don't pick the color "Tanned Foxy Momma" okay? AND there's a key word for you "makeup mask" people. It's called "blending"
4. Ok this is way gross but if you have a giant zit on your face, could you please cover it up or pop it one good time. I know I can avert my eyes but damn, if it's all up in my face, you can't help but look.
NOW that I've done the ladies, here's a few for the men: 1. Dress nice, girls like guys that dress nice. Not REAL nice like Gucci and all that crap, that's not what I mean. But well, I like guys that just look good in whatever they put on. Basically, be comfortable but nice looking.
2. This probably varies from woman to woman, but back hair is wrong and should be destroyed on sight.
3. Guys, I'm not impressed that you can rev your car's engine, and most other chicks aren't either. It doesn't mean you have a nice package, in fact, most of us think it means you're compensating for something.
4. This can go for both sexes: Tell the truth when a guy/girl asks you something. If it doesn't look good on them, tell them.
5. Dress nice ... heh I've already said this, but there's just something about a nicely dressed guy. Kind of alternative/nice. I KNOW what I mean, but I can't explain it properly.
But of course, that's just my opinion...and while it's a good one, it's not the only one. |
