If one more stranger comes up to me when I'm outside smoking a cigarette, then I am going to jam it right in their eye. The jail time will be well worth it. For heaven's sake, we can't smoke indoors anymore, at least let us have the pleasure of destroying our bodies outside. If the smoke is not coming your way, then shut the fuck up or I'll blow it your way. Give you a little cancer. As George Carlin says, "Everybody needs a little cancer." Yes, we are well aware of what smoking will do to us. No one is going around pretending it's healthy. What I personally love are those people that tell me smoking is bad for me, but then they go scarf down 2 double cheeseburgers and fries with a pile of salt the size of California. Yeah, smoking is bad for you, but so is weighing 500 pounds and having 99.9% of your arteries clogged. If someone asks me not to smoke around them, then I won't. I'm courteous enough to do that. However, when I'm outside say, at a mall, I seriously doubt you will develop lung cancer by simply walking past me. Wait, let me rephrase. Yes, it is my main goal in life to give you lung cancer, you paranoid freak. Some ask me why I smoke, and I say, "Because it is an enjoyable activity that relieves stress and gives me a little bit of comfort." One thing I find stunningly ridiculous however, are these smokers that are suing the big tobacco companies. Yeah, back in the day when you started smoking, you might not have known they were addictive. NEWS FLASH: The warnings have been on cigarettes though for some time now. You have had ample opportunity to quit smoking if you wanted to. My uncle smoked for close to 48 years and he quit 2 years ago. It can be done. It's not the tobacco company's fault that you have no willpower. So point the long finger of blame back at yourself. (See my page on "Blame" sorry, shameless plug.) Let's face it, smoker's rights in this country are dwindling as fast as Britney Spear's IQ. SO just let us "cancer-mongers" alone to our nasty habit. I'm sure if you look closely, you have some of your own. But of course, that's just my opinion...and while it's a good one, it's not the only one. |
